Eagles vs Vikings

Eagles vs Vikings: The Philadelphia Eagles have a showdown with the Minnesota Vikings Sunday that will determine the fate of the NFC Playoff race, even if the teams are off to slow starts. Philadelphia (2-2) enters the game needing a win to stay in the hunt for home-field advantage, even though the game isn’t necessarily a “must-win game.”

Minnesota (1-2-1) is a little more desperate than the Eagles, as the Vikings have not won in three straight games since the season-opening win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Vikings also need this win to say in the playoff hunt and in the NFC North race.

This game is still a re-match of the NFC Championship Game, which the Eagles won 38-7 last season en route into winning Super Bowl 52. Since the game is “America’s Game of the Week” in the prominent 4:25 p.m. slot, Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Erin Andrews will have the call.

Here’s the coverage map for the game, which most of America will get since its the second game of the Fox doubleheader in the national window.

Good chance the Vikings want some revenge for ruining their Super Bowl dreams of playing in their own stadium (especially how the entire state of Minnesota saw the Eagles win their first Super Bowl on their home field).

“Right now, we got Minnesota. They coming in and I know they’re pissed from last year,” Graham said (via John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia). “They’re going to come in and try to get us. We gotta make sure were prepared.”

If there’s any trash talk this week, don’t expect it from the Vikings. They want to learn from the 38-7 defeat that is constantly brought up from Eagles fans across the nation.
